Conditional discontinuance of criminal prosecution
Žďánský, Michal ; Bohuslav, Lukáš (advisor) ; Vokoun, Rudolf (referee)
Conditional discontinuance of criminal prosecution is a method for alternative dispute resolution of criminal cases, also labelled "diversions" by the professional public. It is a criminal procedural measure allowed to be used for case settlement by the court and at the pre-trial stage by the public prosecutor on conditions laid down in the Criminal Code. If the accused committed minor offence and afterwards pleaded guilty; compensated for damages; returned unjust enrichment, or concluded a contract to compensate for damages or to return the unjust enrichment; or he has taken other necessary measures to do so, the determining authority can - with consideration of the accused's character - thereafter decide to conditionally discontinue criminal prosecution. Men as victims of domestic violence
KUBIŠTA, Petr
This dissertation focuses on issues of domestic violence (also known as domestic abuse) against men. It looks into the issue why male victims are not taken seriously by the Czech police forces. Domestic violence against men is less common than domestic violence against women. However those males affected by domestic abuse often struggle to find support in society and in the Czech law. They are often left to deal with the problems on their own. In many cases male victims are not treated seriously by society and police forces. It is very important to highlight this issue in society and find support by the Czech government. Abuse against men should be taken as seriously as violence on female victims. The focus should be on early intervention and prevention.

Staňková, Monika ; Moravec, Tomáš (advisor) ; Žák, Květoslav (referee)
According to the name, my bachelor's thesis analyses property crime focusing especially on theft. First, I describe property crimes (part V of the criminal code), their general characteristics, possible division and then there are mentioned another parts of the criminal code or another laws that have connection with property crimes. However, the most important aim of my thesis is to deal with theft (§ 205 of the criminal code). I am focusing on the concept of theft, its general characteristics and development stages. Afterwards, I am comparing the crime theft with theft as a minor offence. The last chapter of my bachelor's thesis describes all the crucial distinctions between crimes theft and robbery. The whole thesis is based on case law.
